Deployment and Hosting
The basic hardware elements of estate topology, which are servers, either central head office or store level intermediates, and POS devices may be deployed in a variety of architectures. The Estate Manager application is operating system and database agnostic meaning it is very flexible in deployment. Whether its in the cloud or on-premise – we don’t mind. For Cloud deployment, Enactor can host or alternatively we use Amazon Web-Services and Microsoft Azure. In the store, for more resilience, we can deploy a Store manager on a server or a master POS as back up in case the network goes down.
Enactor Estate Manager is typically a web maintenance app, accessible through a browser. Usually, we do this using a Tomcat which looks up the files on the database.
