Enactor Estate Manager acts as the central operations point of the digital estate. From here everything from data management, updates, broadcasts, to upgrades and monitoring can be done from one easy-to-use GUI.
Estate Manager is responsible for the configuration of all static data. Operational entities like: Users, Employees, Roles, Menus and Product data come under this.
The system automatically distributes data to devices that have standalone capability and automatically collects transactions made when the system was offline. Successful processing of updates is reported back to Estate Manager on a device basis so that the overall status of a distribution can be checked at any time. Estate Manager maintains and monitors the devices running in the store estate. This includes distributing new software and updates, keeping local data up-to-date, retrieving and securing transactions made, tracking serial numbers of sensitive equipment and so on. Devices can share common configuration or have unique and individual setup.
Estate Manager broadcasts all data changes to specified areas – all from one manageable application. Enactor data broadcasting is an extremely effective way of implementing changes to entities such as: products, prices, promotions, POS fasciae, POS menus or stock, in just a matter of seconds.
Estate Manager distributes executable upgrades. Patches and upgrades can be tested on in-house systems and selected live systems before rollout. The successful application of store upgrades or otherwise is reported and back-out processes can be executed if required.
Monitoring and alerts
Key processes such as POS start-up can be timed and assets such as memory or disk usage monitored. If a KPI is exceeded then the system can raise events up to Estate Manager. Using the Toolkit, this could then kick off configurable processes such as raise an email alert to an administration.
